    Mecate Reins $37.99

    Our Mecate Reins are made with a premium 9/16 double braid polyester yachting rope. The lead end is weighted with a leather popper and the bit end is finished with a shorter leather popper. If you'd prefer a tassel with a fancy turks knot on the bit end simply check the optional tassel box above.     Our double braid polyester rope is dirt, sweat, mildew, rot and UV resistant. This means your rope will stay truer to it's original form much longer, without fading, stretching, popping or elongating.

    Awesome Quality

    These are beautiful quality! I ordered a set for my husband as a gift, and am now getting my own set. There are also 2 others at my boarding barn who are considering getting a set. They easily compare to the name brand clinician ones my trainer has.

    Feels Just Right

    The weight and diameter of these reins are perfect. I am a 5' tall woman with a 14 hand QH so I chose the 20 foot length and it's perfect. The brown and tan zigzag pattern looks awesome on my chestnut mare. I'm very happy with my purchase.

    Very durable

    I have purchased 4 sets of these, the oldest of which I got over 2 years ago. I ride 6 days a week year round. These mecate reins are perfect for everyday use and mine show very little wear even though I tie with them every day and have gotten more than enough mud, foxtails etc etc on them. Great product.

    I was a little hesitant about getting mecate reins from somewhere other than CA but I was low on cash and needed them for a clinic I'm going to. LOVE them. They shipped super fast and they feel like the "real deal". Ordered a lead rope too! Plus - they come in the color I wanted!!
